World Barista Competition Service Experience

Ever wonder what a world championship coffee tastes like in the hands of the barista that brought it to the World Barista Championship stage?
We saved just enough of our world championship coffee to share with a few of you. Treat yourself or a coffee-nerd friend to a once in a lifetime coffee experience. 

Archetype Coffee is offering a full three course service of espresso based beverages, plus a 45 minute behind the scenes Q&A session with Isaiah Sheese as he serves his espresso, milk beverage, and signature beverage, all featuring the exquisite Thermal Shock Washed Process Pink Bourbon from Lucy Galindez and her farm Finca Bella Vista, processed by Diego Bermudez of Finca El Paraiso. This is the exact coffee and 3 course beverage service Isaiah used in his World Barista Championship finals presentation. Drinks will be served in the same glassware and table settings used in Portland and Athens this year in both the US National and World Barista Championships, respectively. 
Being an almost Olympic style competition, the atmosphere of the World Championship service is very rule-oriented and can be intimidating to those that are unfamiliar with the competition. This service is meant to be more interactive and fun for the guest. The format is less of a “Ted Talk” style monologue and more of an educational hangout with our National Champ, all while enjoying the most incredible coffee drinks you’ve ever tasted.(To make a reservation, see available times below.)

The World Barista Championship is the Olympics of coffee. It is the highest level of barista skill, coffee knowledge, creativity, and excellence in the specialty coffee industry. The coffees used in the event are the pinnacle of coffees produced, often considered “once-in-a-lifetime” type coffees. The value that is added to the coffee by the talent of the barista means an adventure in coffee that only a few people in the world get to experience. 
Each competitor in the WBC is a national champion in their own right, and the US is one of the hardest, most competitive championships to win in order to even make it to the world competition stage. To make it to the World Championship Final a barista must rank in the Top 6 in the world, besting over 40 other national champions.  
Archetype’s Isaiah Sheese is the 2023 US Barista Champion, and a 2023 World Barista Championship Finalist, representing the USA ranking 4th in the final round.

Upon ordering you will receive an email confirming the order. When we’ve processed the order and committed your time slot we will send a second email confirming your reservation. The second email may state the order has “shipped”, but there are no physical tickets. Your only requirement is to show up with proof of for your correct reservation time and check in at our Omaha 13th Street location in Little Bohemia. 

No-shows cannot be refunded. Cancellations must be made 48hrs in advance, or no refund will be issued.
